Our history
Over 40 years of experience
1982
TEKFER was established based on its founder’s extensive experience in railway signalling.
We have always combined solid technical expertise with a constant drive for innovation, aiming to deliver safe and reliable solutions that keep pace with developments in the railway sector.
1994
We launched the development of in-house products, marking the start of our proprietary design activities and introducing solutions developed directly within the company.
2001
We became official suppliers to RFI, gaining formal recognition that has strengthened the company’s presence in the national railway sector and fostered collaboration on structured projects.
2003
We extended our activities across the entire production cycle, from the design phase all the way through to construction, installation, testing and technical support. This integrated approach enables us to guarantee quality, reliability and operational continuity for our customers.
2016
We opened a new facility dedicated to research and development, expanding our operational capacity and establishing a structured headquarters for the design and evolution of technical solutions.
Today
Bolstered by over forty years of experience, we operate in Italy and abroad, supporting the development of safe and efficient railway infrastructure. We manage complex and technologically advanced projects, positioning ourselves as a leading partner in the sector.

Legality Rating
We have obtained the legality rating (RT4207) issued by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM), recognising fairness, transparency and reliability in business management.
IRIS Certification
We are certified in accordance with the international IRIS standard, developed by UNIFE, which defines specific quality criteria for the railway sector and standardises assessment procedures throughout the supply chain.
